“I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.”
Ephesians 1:18-19a

Will You Answer the Call?

It’s the year 2015…what will your church’s vitality and vision look like? Will it be filled with mature disciples of Christ who have found their place of ministry and service? Will they be actively living out their faith through their discovered gifts for ministry? Will all of your leadership needs be filled while other identified leaders are being equipped for ministry and service? Will your adults be encouraged to seek out God’s plan for their lives even in the midst of their current vocations? Will your students be actively seeking ways to share their faith because their gifts and talents for ministry have been identified, affirmed and nurtured? Will your church be a place where even children are finding their place of value and worth in their community of faith?

The vision of “Consider Your Call” Sunday is to begin the work of laying the foundation for the local church to call out and nurture all of its members for ministry and service. The leaders your church needs are ready and willing…will they be “tapped on the shoulder” and called by the church to live out their faith? Actually, it’s only the year 2005…your church can begin to take the steps now to make this vision a reality in your church!

“It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-13 (NIV)
